Was just wondering if anyone knows anything about car audio  cause iv had my car a while now and when i bought it. It came with some 6x9 speakers on the parcel shelf, so today i thought id go out n buy some stuff n wire them up,
iv Cut the cable off from the back door speakers to wire the 6x9's up, but when i connect them only 1 works, iv tested both speakers and they both work, but for some reason i just cant get them both working,
iv also tested the wire with a voltage meter and i get 12v from the wire, so thats fine, but when i connect it only 1 works
,
Any Help or infomation would be very helpfull cheers
Btw Its a 2000 plate vectra LS) if needed

OK, try and put the wires from the working speaker to the one that isn't currently working. Does the speaker now work? If so, you have eliminated the speaker so the wiring is suspect.
Did the door speaker on the failing side work before you pulled the wiring apart?
Curious about you getting 12V down the wire.... are you sure that you have cut and connected the right cable? 12V is what you would get from the battery - not from speaker outputs from a stereo.... Check the central locking and electric windows on the side that has failed....
I don't think that your car had CAN bus protocols,

,but if it has, you may have caused yourself a little more grief than you expected as each device to be operated requires a distinct signal passed through the wiring looms to make them work.
