Morc,

It's a bit like an Anti-Biotic but you take it beforehand in suppository form. Hope that helps!  Surprised

Just as a double check - I have scanned the server for viruses and there are none present. I have also re-booted.

As Danny says, exclude the Server Manager from your AV program and it should then ignore it.

It looks like your Sound card isn't recognised by the TS software. Check out what DareDevil said.

OK, try and put the wires from the working speaker to the one that isn't currently working. Does the speaker now work? If so, you have eliminated the speaker so the wiring is suspect.

Did the door speaker on the failing side work before you pulled the wiring apart?

Curious about you getting 12V down the wire.... are you sure that you have cut and connected the right cable? 12V is what you would get from the battery - not from speaker outputs from a stereo.... Check the central locking and electric windows on the side that has failed....

I don't think that your car had CAN bus protocols,

,but if it has, you may have caused yourself a little more grief than you expected as each device to be operated requires a distinct signal passed through the wiring looms to make them work.

No idea's m8. I take it that you use Pinger to start the game?

Try this...

1. Open up the Users Control Panel and create a new user on your PC called BHD
2. Login as BHD
3. Start Intercept and do you get the same problem?

I know nothing about this program but it looks like it is looking for the file @BHD.EXE in your Temporary Internet folder which may have the files being deleted when you close your Internet Browser. Just a though  Confused

Upgrade your firmware first - very easy on the Netgears.

Have a look in the logs section m8, down the left hand side in the deep blue banner. Copy the log and post it in here for me please.

I'm expecting to see lots of LCP is Down, LCP is waiting to come up. If that is the case, turn your router off for an hour and then restart it. This could be a time sync issue with your ADSL which will involve your ISP to reboot their kit at the exchange.

Second, do you have any crackles/noise on the phone line? This does interfere with the ADSL. Ask you ISP to perform a WHOOSH test (not a joke - it is a test that they send down the line to your router and it forces a loopback) which will tell the ISP if there is a problem on your line/equipment.

Swap out any ADSL filters that you have on the line - it could be that one has died.

Do you lose the link whenever anyone makes or recives a phone call? If so, which phone - replace the ADSL Filter on that phone.

Hope this helps m8.

Cheers
Tim

I think, but I'm not sure, that I found what's wrong with the game: if I click on the dfbhd icon (on the desk), then choose ''properties'', then ''compatibility'', in the items offered, (windows xp, windows vista, etc...) I don't see what my son recently installed, which is named  ''windows 7''. So, perhaps it is only what makes the troubles...I'll ask to him when he will get up from bed, (about at 5 pm...lol).Bye all. I'll give news about that.  Confused

Compatibility mode may be left blank or select XP

It could be a scratch on the CD??

I have a download file which is < 520MB which is how I purchased the game. If needs be, I could post that up for downloading somewhere BUT you need to install the NOCD patch before running.

Try what Danny says first though.

Hiya m8. Have you tried manually adding the address 85.236.103.41:17479 to the bottom box of the pinger? When you then open BHD, you should have the server listed.

You should be able to read the data from an external caddy. If needs be - send me the disk as I have data recovery tools

If you have this to hand......

Take the drive out and put it into an external caddy. Run a Checkdisk on this drive, checking all sectors. It sounds like there may be some lost sectors or Sector 0 has become corrupted.

Have you tried tapping F8 during boot up (prior to Windows loading) and selecting Safe mode. From here you can then run the checkdisk locally if the drive is recognised.

Recommendation - buy a new Hard Disk, reinstall the OS and then have this drive as a secondary to recover the data required (e-mails, docs, photies, music etc)

hmmmmmm, motherboard problem me thinks. PSU swapout is fairly simple but I think that you are right to start looking at a new machine. The cost of diagnosing a problem like this would outweigh the cost of a new machine. Such a great society that we live in when it is cheaper to throw away than repair.
