Hey
Can someone please help me cause my pc nearly went out for the bin men last night after much frustration..
Bought a new graphic card Nvidia Geforce 7300GT 256mb, put it in last night connected the extra power supply which was needed and this happened

But when the power is disconnected from the card, then i get a message saying i should connect the power cable, and cause the power power isn't connected then the card will work at a lower power setting to maintain stabilty

i have a 400w power supply which runs
motherboard/fan
2 cooling fans on case
2 hard drives
1 foppy drive
1 cd drive
spoketo a relative last night and the power supply is more than enough they beleave
any help would be great, bought it to use at full power not 75%

The power suply is not enough,other wise you had not that problem
try to give the card a single power cable not from a shared cable[meaby from floppy drive you dont need a floppy]

try to use a seperate power cord not one used by cd or hd as it needs uniterupeted power also check if there is a power socket on Motherboard as its also needed some times. Can we have M/board spec and Graphics card spec windows ver and driver for Gfx
Just as a test turn off pc and unplug Floppy and cd and if you can 1 hd power cords. just to check your Power supply is up to it DO NOT UNPLUG WHILE PC IS RUNNING.

I know Nothing but is this when you start up or is it when your in a game...
Im getting the same problem but only in Bhd after a couple of maps..
I have realized it dont happen on any COD games.. =/

its an asus board runnin a pentuim celeron chip, also runnin the latest version of drivers for the card and runnin windows xp professional with service pack too, i'll try the cables now and see, cant see another socket on motherboard.

right mr koko, i've tried what you said with a seperate power lead and still crash's ?
?so could i need a even bigger power pack?

I have 728m of ram on my machine too, if this had anything to do with it, i never had any probs until i switch to a pentium, always AMD's and never a prob
